IBM
The partnership with IBM was the first one FAIR-M&A has concluded in early 2008. IBM’s M&A Accelerator solution is the backbone of FAIR-M&A’s web based platform. IBM is at the same time a software provider, a consulting firm and a serial acquirer, meaning they do not only teach lessons but actually realize M&A transactions. M&A Accelerator is used by most of the big US acquirers, starting with GE and 3M. It is currently expanding worldwide. (Website)
Imprima
The electronic data room is the number one IT tool in M&A (and for most people the only one they know and use). Imprima is a leading financial communications provider. Imprima has a virtual data room solution called iRooms which is widely recognized as being the best on the market (according to an independent benchmark). FAIR-M&A has concluded a partnership with Imprima in mid-2008 to develop a standard electronic data room. (Website)
Digimind
Digimind is a leading provider of competitive intelligence web based solutions. It is a start-up with almost ten years of existence. Digimind has understood very soon that making your way through the jungle of Internet would be a key factor of success. Knowing the importance of information management in M&A, they were an obvious partner to FAIR-M&A. A partnership was concluded in early 2009 to develop an intelligence tool especially designed for M&A. (Website)
What comes next?
Next partners for FAIR-M&A will surely be data bases providers. M&A practitioners use a lot of financial information, whether coming from companies or from deals track records. Market information of legal information can also be very useful in M&A processes. FAIR-M&A’s objectives is that all information management needs find their answers on its platform.
