In terms of software and data bases, FAIR-M&A’s philosophy is to not reinvent the wheel. If existing solutions cover some of the functionalities FAIR-M&A wants to include in its electronic platform, then we build a partnership with the “best in class” provider of these functionalities. An existing software has been tried and improved over thousand different cases. It is safer and offers more options than we could possibly develop ourselves. This is also the case with financial data bases (company and deal information) as well as legal or market data bases with which partnerships will be concluded. >>>

Process and methods

The M&A process is very extended and covers a lot of different skills and experience, starting from strategy and ending in post-merger integration, going through business, finance, legal or human resources questions. FAIR-M&A puts in place partnerships with key professionals to make sure all aspects of the electronic platform are supported by relevant standards and methods. Finance or legal expertise is brought by recognized experts, so are post-merger integration or governance considerations. The only way to become global is being local in each country. This is true for any business. It is also how FAIR-M&A wants to develop its solutions worldwide. Getting access to an electronic platform through the Internet is not everything. FAIR-M&A customers need local support, to train them initially, to help them take maximum benefit out of the tools. That’s why we are promoting partnerships with local organizations to sell and support our products. These partners are themselves M&A professionals.
